GDIM Monday Motivational Message
For the Week of December 24th

Preparing for Christmas takes on many different forms for all of us. Although we might become entangled with the flurry of decorating, shopping, family gatherings, holiday parties, cooking, or wrapping gifts, we must not miss the true celebration.
One of the most popular songs heard during this season is “Joy to the World!” Here the hymn writer exclaims, “Let every heart prepare Him room.”
The scriptures declares that when Joseph reached Bethlehem, there was no room at the Inn for him, Mary and the soon coming King because of the crowds that had traveled for the census. In the same way, many hearts are cluttered and crowded with a myriad of activities, festivities and traditions of the season, that we barely remember the reason for the celebration.
Imagine a birthday party in your honor, a crowd has gathered for the food, fun and entertainment, but no one says “Happy Birthday”, brings a gift, or even acknowledges that the celebration is all about “you” because they are having so much fun at “your” party. Not a good feeling, uh? Unfortunately, we replicate the same offense when we fail to make Christ our primary focus, not only at Christmas, but everyday.
Putting all religious antics aside, we celebrate the birth of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Truly, we must allocate time and make room for the Prince of Peace to reign in our busy lives. He alone is the One who brings true hope, love, peace and Joy to the World!
Merry Christmas from our family to yours and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season!
Be blessed and have an awesome week! We
you to life.
