GDIM Monday Motivational Message
For the Week of October 22nd

Pressure on Purpose
It is always uncomfortable when pressure is applied and when the heat is turned up. Our immediate response is to seek rapid relief or to find the quickest escape route.
In our walk with Christ, we must come to grips with the fact that there is purpose in pressure. Although many things may be beyond our comprehension, we must learn to trust the process. We must seek the wisdom of God to know what He is perfecting in us, because there is no escape until the work is completed.
Pressure produces God’s purpose and propels us toward our destiny. It is often only when the pressure is unbearable and when we have reached the limits of our strength, that we learn what God is capable of.
Don’t give up because the heat is at broiling temperature. Understand that you are in the refiner’s fire and the end result is the purest gold.
Endure the pressure, embrace the the peace of God and allow purpose to be perfected through the process.
“There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!” Romans 5:3-5 (MSG)
